Arrival in Arusha
Airport Welcome • Private Transfer to Arusha • Safari Briefing & Relaxation

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be welcomed by a Quest Horizon Safaris representative.
After assistance with your luggage, transfer privately to your accommodation in Arusha.
Arusha is located close to Mount Meru and serves as the principal gateway to Northern Tanzania’s national parks and conservation areas.
Depending on your arrival time, spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your international journey.
You may enjoy the gardens and facilities of your accommodation, arrange an optional spa treatment or explore a nearby coffee estate.
Before the safari begins, your guide or representative will provide a detailed briefing covering the route, expected driving times, park regulations, luggage requirements and flight arrangements.
Dinner and overnight in Arusha.
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Explore Tarangire National Park • Wildlife & Scenic Landscapes • Relax at Camp

After breakfast, meet your professional safari guide and depart for Tarangire National Park.
The journey passes through small towns, agricultural areas, Maasai grazing lands and the open countryside of Northern Tanzania.
Upon arrival, enter Tarangire and begin your first private game drive.
Tarangire is famous for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant population and the Tarangire River, which supports wildlife throughout the year.
Explore open plains, acacia woodland, river valleys and seasonal wetlands.
Elephants may be seen moving in extended family groups, feeding beneath baobab trees or gathering near water. Other possible sightings include giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, leopards and spotted hyenas.
The park is also one of Tanzania’s leading birdwatching destinations, with more than 500 recorded species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park or lunch at your accommodation, depending on the confirmed arrangement.
Continue with an afternoon game drive before arriving at your lodge or tented camp.
Tarangire Game Drive and Transfer to Karatu
Final Tarangire Safari • Journey to the Highlands • Overnight in Karatu

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park.
The cooler morning hours often provide excellent opportunities to observe active elephants, plains animals and predators.
Your guide will explore a different section of the park based on wildlife movements, seasonal conditions and the location of your accommodation.
After the morning safari, leave Tarangire and travel toward Karatu.
The landscape gradually changes as the road climbs from dry savannah into fertile highland farmland.
Arrive at your accommodation during the afternoon.
Spend the remainder of the day relaxing or participate in an optional local experience.
Possible activities include:
- Coffee-estate visit
- Village walk
- Local market experience
- Guided nature walk
- Lodge-based relaxation
- Spa treatment where available
Dinner and overnight in Karatu.
Lake Manyara National Park Safari
Lake Manyara Safari • Diverse Wildlife & Birdlife • Return to Karatu

After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park for a full or extended half-day game drive.
The park lies beneath the dramatic escarpment of the Great Rift Valley and contains a remarkable variety of habitats within a relatively compact area.
The entrance region is characterized by groundwater forest, where blue monkeys, vervet monkeys and olive baboons are frequently encountered.
Continue toward open woodland, grassy floodplains, wetlands and the lakeshore.
Possible wildlife includes elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, warthogs and hippos.
Lake Manyara is historically associated with tree-climbing lions. These lions may occasionally be seen resting in trees, but sightings are unpredictable and should never be guaranteed.
The park is particularly rewarding for birdwatching. Pelicans, storks, hornbills, kingfishers, herons, egrets, raptors and seasonal flamingos may be present depending on water conditions.
Enjoy a picnic lunch or return to a nearby lodge for lunch, according to the selected program.
Continue exploring the park during the afternoon before returning to Karatu.
Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Ngorongoro Crater Safari • Explore the Crater Floor • Return to Karatu

Depart early after breakfast and travel into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Continue toward the crater rim, where a viewpoint stop may be made when weather conditions are clear.
Descend approximately 600 metres to the crater floor for an extended private game drive.
Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and contains one of Africa’s highest concentrations of large mammals.
Its open grasslands, forests, freshwater springs, wetlands and alkaline lake support a diverse population of resident wildlife.
Possible sightings include lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, spotted hyenas, jackals and several antelope species.
The crater is also one of Tanzania’s better areas for seeing the endangered black rhinoceros. However, the animals may remain far from the road, and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Explore the Lerai Forest, open plains, freshwater marshes and Lake Magadi.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location on the crater floor before continuing the safari.
In the afternoon, ascend the crater wall and return to your accommodation in Karatu or the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Ngorongoro Highlands to Central Serengeti
Enter Central Serengeti • Wildlife Viewing Along the Way • Lodge Stay

After breakfast, depart from the highlands and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park.
The route passes volcanic scenery, open plains and traditional Maasai grazing areas where livestock and wildlife share the wider landscape.
An optional visit to Olduvai Gorge Museum may be arranged for guests interested in archaeology, geology and early human history.
Continue toward the Serengeti as the landscape becomes increasingly open.
Enter Serengeti National Park and begin an en-route game drive toward the central region.
Central Serengeti is known for its excellent year-round wildlife viewing. Permanent water sources around the Seronera River support a large population of resident animals.
Search for lions resting near granite kopjes, leopards in riverine trees, cheetahs on open plains and elephants moving through woodland.
Arrive at your lodge or tented camp during the late afternoon or early evening.
Full-Day Central Serengeti Safari
Full-Day Serengeti Safari • Explore the Seronera Region • Return to Your Camp

Spend a complete day exploring Central Serengeti.
Begin with an early morning game drive when predators are often active and temperatures are cooler.
The Seronera region contains river valleys, acacia woodland, open grasslands and granite kopjes. These varied habitats support lions, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and many plains animals.
Leopards may be encountered resting in trees near the river, while lions frequently use kopjes as shade and observation points.
Cheetahs prefer open terrain, where they can watch for gazelles and other prey.
Your private guide will adapt the route according to recent sightings, weather, wildlife movements and your interests.
Guests may choose a full-day safari with picnic lunch or separate morning and afternoon game drives with a midday break.
Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Morning Serengeti Safari and Flight to Arusha
Last Wildlife Experience • Bush Flight Over Tanzania • Departure Transfer

Begin the final day with an early morning game drive.
